APPLY TO ADOPT A SOLSTICE CATS MAINE COON KITTEN
How Our Adoption Process Works
We want every family and kitten to be a great match, and for the adoption experience to feel special and supported from start to finish.
1. Submit Your Application
The application helps us get to know your household and make sure we are placing kittens in safe, loving, and stable homes.
2. Personal Contact from Solstice Cats
Once we receive your application, we will reach out by text or email. If you decide to move forward, we will collect a $500 non refundable deposit which reserves your place to select from available kittens.
3. Kitten Selection
When litter selections begin, you may choose your kitten. Once chosen, your kitten is marked Reserved and removed from availability.
4. Watching Your Kitten Grow
We keep you involved and connected the whole time your kitten is with us.
• Regular photos and video updates
• FaceTime calls upon request
• Support and guidance every step of the way
5. Veterinary Care and Going Home
At approximately 12 weeks of age, your kitten will have a final vet exam and be spayed or neutered.
Final payment is due 24 hours prior to surgery.
After surgery, your kitten will stay with us for about 48 hours (longer if needed) while we ensure they are comfortable and recovering well. Kittens generally heal quickly and go home soon after.
6. New Kitten Welcome Packet
Before pickup, you will receive a welcome email with your New Kitten Information Packet. Inside you’ll find:
• Safety and acclimation tips
• Details on the food your kitten has been eating
• How to transition foods slowly to avoid upset tummies
• Recommendations on enrichment and bonding
We are always here for guidance and support. You become part of our Solstice Cats family.
