Every Solstice litter begins with a thoughtfully planned pairing chosen for health, temperament, structure, and breed preservation. This page shares the parents, projected traits, important dates, and updates throughout the litter’s development. Once kittens have been born and individually evaluated, each will receive their own dedicated profile page.

We are thrilled to welcome five beautiful Maine Coon kittens from Indigo and Gus, born October 12, 2026! This litter includes two red smoke males, two black smoke males, and one black smoke tortoiseshell female. All five kittens inherited Gus’s distinctive polydactyl trait!

This pairing brings together beautiful coloring, strong Maine Coon type, and the exceptional qualities we value in our breeding program. We are excited to watch these kittens develop their substantial structure, luxurious coats, expressive features, and individual personalities as they grow.

Parents Overview

Indigo is our blue smoke tortie queen imported from Russia. She has beautiful structure and an exceptional profile, complemented by a long, thick coat. Her personality is playful, curious, and wonderfully easygoing. Her cardiac and kidney ultrasounds were completed July 31, 2026, with excellent results, and her PawPeds hip evaluation is scheduled for August 2026. Gus is our black smoke polydactyl sire and an exciting addition to the Solstice breeding program. He has substantial bone, strong Maine Coon features, and impressive polydactyl paws. Together, Indigo and Gus were selected to complement one another in structure, coat, temperament, and overall breed type while introducing the possibility of polydactyl kittens to this pairing.

This pairing has the potential to produce a beautiful variety of colors, including black, red, and tortoiseshell, with smoke variations possible throughout. Depending on inheritance, kittens may have standard paws or inherit Gus’s polydactyl trait. We are especially excited to see the combination of Indigo’s beautiful structure and coat with Gus’s substantial type and distinctive polydactyl paws. As with every Solstice litter, health, temperament, and correct Maine Coon type remain our highest priorities.

We anticipate Indigo and Gus producing kittens with substantial bone, strong profiles, broad muzzles, expressive ears with beautiful furnishings, and long, full coats. Both parents contribute the substantial structure and distinctive features we value in the Maine Coon breed. Temperament is equally important in this pairing. Indigo’s playful, easygoing nature and Gus’s confident personality give us plenty to look forward to as their kittens develop. Depending on inheritance, kittens may also carry Gus’s polydactyl trait, resulting in both standard paw and polydactyl Maine Coons within the litter. As always, these are projected traits rather than guarantees. Our goal is to produce healthy, confident, well-socialized Maine Coons with stable temperaments and correct breed type, regardless of color or paw type.

I recently found myself in Arizona after moving to Ft Huachuca in Sierra Vista, and one of the first things I did was search for any Mainecoon breeders in the state of AZ. Solstice was the first result I found just a few hours away in Phoenix, and I’m glad I found it!

Both Tiffany and Stephanie were very cordial, hard-working parents and breeders, and were super helpful in the process of applying for and entering the waiting period to select my cat Mercury- a name the breeder gave to her, and one she will keep! Their website has a bountiful amount of information built into it from what looks to be scholarly veterinary sources that give you all the right tools to be ready for these big cats. Mercury is not my first Mainecoon in my life as I had one all through my childhood, and from my experience, all of the guides and other tips on their website about how to care for these special cats were spot on. Plus, they provided the best advice for current supplies, toys, furnishings, and the newest smart appliances specialized for this large breed as those were the things I’m not up to date on. They gave me regular updates on the cats and seemed more than happy to go further if I needed to chat more, and when I picked up Mercury they were more than happy to answer any questions, hang out, and show me the nursery. I also got a goodie bag with wet and dry cat food, tons of treats, some toys, a pee pad in case the cat needed to go while traveling home, and even a metal comb for taking care of grooming. Best of all, Mercury is one of the healthiest kittens I’ve handled and she is incredibly well-tempered. All of the other kittens and adults were perfectly healthy as well- I’d have taken home multiple if I could! Overall the experience was an 11/10, and after seeing the nursery for the kittens, their household and the quality of care they provide the cats the prices are very fair and frankly competitive for a proper TICA certified breeder (which they earned while raising the kitten I was waiting on, so congrats!).

Something I did not expect was the generosity provided for my work in the military. It was absolutely wonderful and is enormously appreciated, as it was something they totally didn’t have to go out of their way to do. The least I can do is pay it forward by letting everyone reading know that if you are or were in the US Armed Forces, this cattery will treat you right.

I hugely appreciate what they are doing for this breed. I think I may get a ragdoll as my next cat so that Mercury has a friend, but if I wanted a second Mainecoon this would be the place to go especially if you’re on the West Coast. Thank you guys!!

Solstice Main Coons are on top of everything that deals with their kittens to cats; paperwork well organized; optimized turn over of health care insurance; healthy foods feed to them.  She has been with us for a month, 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 months and is already bigger than her 2 and 4 yr old sisters.

I started my journey of wanting my dream mainecoon kitten, terrified of being scammed and losing hope of finding a legit/trustworthy breeder. Then I found Solstice, and Tiffany. I could write a novel on why her cattery is the best—truly.
Tiffany is a true gem of a human, and from the start, made sure I felt more than reassured with my hundreds of questions. She’s so communicative through the entire process—including after purchase! She truly loves each of her babies, and has made sure any questions or changes we had were walked through with her guidance—her knowledge of the breed is extensive! When I have taken them to the vet, her thorough paperwork, genetic testing, and vaccine records are praised heavily! My vet stated, “this is incredible, and how it’s supposed to be!”
To truly drive home how much I loved my experience with Solstice, being a repeat customer should speak for itself—I now own 6 of her mainecoon kittens! The way Tiffany raises her kittens in her home, surrounded by family and children, creates the BEST babes. Not even one of my kittens needed “transition” time—they just jump right into loving everyone and everything! They’re just simply, wonderful!

She's laying on my chest as i type this, and we couldn't be happier to have her in our family.
