Maine Coon Kittens

OUR KITTENS

space reserved for future kittens

Great news from Solstice Cats! We’re happy to announce that we are expecting a litter of Maine Coon kittens, along with one (maybe two) litters of Ragcoon (Ragdoll x Maine Coon) kittens, arriving from mid-November to December! Before you request to join our waitlist, be sure to check out our "Things To Know" and FAQs. Currently, we have 4 families on our list. (Updated 11/15)

THINGS TO KNOW:

SolsticecatsLogo

Solstice Kittens are placed with approved families after they have been vaccinated and have fully recovered from their spay/neuter surgery, typically around 14 weeks of age. Each kitten is provided with TICA registration paperwork, a copy of the pet contract, vet record confirming good health, and 30 days of complimentary health insurance through Trupanion.

Parents undergo DNA testing to identify any genetic anomalies that may lead to health problems for the cat or their future kittens. The primary health issues assessed include HCM, SMA, PK, and PK Def. I am seeking N/N [Negative] results for these tests.

We do offer breeding rights to other ethical breeders.

If you're wanting a kitten and do not see any available on our site, please fill out the contact form to discuss when future litters are expected and if joining the wait list is right for you.

SOLSTICE CATS ADOPTION

frequently asked questions.

  • Pricing
All kittens are $3,000.00. We do not price kittens based on color or gender.
  • When do I have to pay for my kitten?
At 6 weeks of age you confirm your selection, your deposit will be applied to the total amount due. The balance is due when kittens are 10 weeks old, prior to their spay/neuter appointments. Payments can be made over time or the entire balance can be paid at once.
  • Do you deliver?
We offer flight nanny and ground transport options for those families that aren't local to us. The cost is on top of the price of your kitten. Kittens will absolutely not fly in cargo. The flight nanny will meet families at their closest major airport.
  • Why do I have to put a deposit down to join the wait list?
Deposits are required so we know you're serious about purchasing a kitten from us. A deposit shows us you're serious and committed joining the Solstice Cat family. If the litter you're waiting on arrives and you decide to wait, your deposit can be transferred to the next litter. Deposits are not refundable.
  • Where are you located?
In Queen Creek, about 40 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
  • What genetic testing does Solstice Cats do, and why?
Most pedigree cats are prone to certain genetic conditions specific to their breed. A reputable Maine Coon breeder will conduct thorough genetic testing on all breeding cats to screen for potential defects before breeding. In Maine Coons, the following genetic tests are essential: HCM (Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy): A heart condition where the walls of the heart muscle thicken, causing the heart to enlarge. SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy): A genetic disease affecting Maine Coons that causes a progressive loss of motor neurons in the lower spinal cord, leading to muscle atrophy in the hind limbs, resulting in an unsteady gait and posture issues. PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease): An inherited condition that leads to the formation of multiple cysts in the kidneys. These cysts grow over time and can eventually cause kidney failure.
